Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot spoke on a financial call last week and revealed that the new “consoles will be running almost all the back catalog of the previous consoles.” Guillemot added, “[Backwards compatibility] will be something new in the industry,” and that it “will help the old generations to continue to be big consoles on the market for years to come.” Xbox already dipped its fingers in the backward compatibility cookie jar, so it’s no surprise the Xbox Series X will continue that trend....
